KMC 2015 El Yaque Results – All New Blood!

KMC 2015 El Yaque Friends and Supporters,

Killer Mountain Challenge 2015- El Yaque is over……the results are in. Wow! Strongest field of competitors we’ve ever had. I hope everyone had a fun event. This year we had competitors from East Germany, Bavaria, West Germany, Venezuela, Canada, USA and Austria.
Pictures of the winners are attached. For more pictures go to Facebook El Yaque Fotos

or Facebook Killer Mountain Challenge.
Women’s Category:
Only 2 girls were able to compete. Others were injured and two have the flu. Both competitors are from Canada……….Christy Baker and Nora Lukss………….both wanted to win bad…………can you imagine……..you only have to beat one other and you’re the winner…………..what happens?………..unbelievable but they tie………and we couldn’t convince them to have a playoff…………someone suggested mud wrestling to determine the winner………….but sadly they decided to part as friends and share the trophy…………..congrats to both Christy and Nora.
Men’s Category:
Every year the event is getting bigger…….this year 21 riders vs. 15 from last year. We even attracted a lot of Big Dogs…….Jason from Canada ( 2 times KMC Champ), Lucien from East Germany (last year’s KMC Champ), Jose Louis from Venezuela (3 times Venezuela national MTB Champ) and Rony (1 time Venezuela national MTB Champ)…………this is getting to be some serious sh*t happening…………pretty intimidating
As you can expect with such a strong field……..Big results! 17 riders make it up Killer 1. Last year only 7 made it…………….and Killer1 is way harder than last year……….narrower and has an extreme finish at F**cking Rock.
This means that Stage 2 (Killers 2-6) will determine which of these 17 strong riders can survive the distance. No rider in competition has ever made it all the way up to the finish at Killer 6………….but this year it looks like they all could make it………….so what happens? It comes down to separating the men from the boys………….will one of the previous champs with all of their medals win?
Results-Top 20:
Johan Millan, Venezuela…………the first man to finish KM1-6 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gregorio Lugo, Venezuela…………….only a few meters short on KM6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jose Louise Bermudez, Venezuela
Robert Bermudez, Venezuela
Andres Padilla, Venezuela
Jason( Big One Ball) Baker, Canada
Phil Soltysiak, Canada
Jonathan Loran, Venezuela
Hernan Rodriguez, Venezuela
Andres (2) Padilla, Venezuela

Daniel Loran, Venezuela
Rony Gonzalez, Venezuela
Leo Estredo, Venezuela
Miguel Ruiz, Venezuela
David Dupes, USA
Al Butkevics, Canada
Lucien Fieblinger, Germany (East)
Otto Insam, Austria

Team Venezuela sweeps!!!!!
Team Canada finishes second with:
Jason (Big One Ball) Baker, Canada
Phil Soltysiak, Canada

First Timers up KM1:

-Tom Brendt, Germany………….finally made it up and went on to KM5!!
-Rony Gonzalez, Venezuela
-Johan Millan, Venezuela…………and he went on to win!
-Jose Louise Bermudez, Venezuela……………and he came in #3!
